We spent the first 2 nights of our honeymoon here after being married at Gretna Green. We would like to start by saying a huge thank you for making our stay so memorable. The house was amazing and quite quirky, but was maintained to the highest standard, and our every need was catered for with a smile by the wonderful Carol who worked so hard. Breakfast time was something to behold with a huge freshly cooked breakfast that was improved greatly by the fresh eggs from Carols 'girls' who run freely in the garden. We would recommend this property (and the hostess) to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in a wonderful house with amazing views. Excellent. Many many thanks Carol for providing such a warm welcome and brilliant service.

We stayed for one night and wished it could have been many more. The experience was totally relaxing a welcome separation from hectic city life. Everything was perfect which is a difficult thing to achieve. We departed in the morning invigorated and having benefited from a superb breakfast. Highly recommended and we now have a reason to visit the area again. Thank you for making us so welcome in your beautiful home. Cindy and Alan Cox.

I cannot recommend Kirkpatrick House enough. We have just returned from a one night stay in the four poster room. Wow. This B&B really does need to be seen to be believed. A perfect, picturesque location and a quintessential Georgian house. The landlady Carol is an absolute angel. We received the highest quality service from her, nothing was too much trouble and the welcome she gave was warm and friendly. It almost felt like we were visiting family. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, all local produce and we ate sitting in the period style dining area and looking out over the pretty grounds. I felt more than a little spoiled. My only complaint is that, due to work commitments, we were only able to stay the one night. We would have loved a longer stay and I am sure we will be back. Thank you.

A wonderful secret haven on the outskirts of Gretna Green, we couldnt have chosen a better more beautiful location, and gracious Housekeeper than Carole, for our Wedding Stay. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was perfect from Breakie of home made goodies to our 4 poster en suite, the Egyptianesque Bathroom was unique and has to be seen to be believed with every last beauty product to be sampled.
The house is Georgian with wonderful decor and and a credit to her for keeping it all going herself.
Carole even took the trouble to show us around the area, and to see a beautiful castle near by the sea in her own car she was amazing!
Exceptional and Perfect Guest House and a rarity.
